About the Workshop
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), as part of its ongoing Every Day Counts initiative, along with the Utah Local Technical Assistance Program are offering an interactive workshop on Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).
Attendees will hear from subject matter experts on:
- Starting and growing a UAS program
- Implementing UAS technology in support of key transportation applications
- Technology and UAS use case examples
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about three transportation applications. The session will focus on the following topics:
Session 1: Public Safety
Search and Rescue, Public Information, Events, MOU/Coordination
Session 2: Emergency Response
Wildfires, Flooding, Incident Management
Session 3: UAS Use in Public Works
Surveys, Inspection, Quantity Verifications, Progress, Site Documentation, Traffic Monitoring, Environmental/Mitigation
