Course Description
In this session supervisors will learn enduring leadership principles that will assist them in guiding their employees and teams to higher levels of effectiveness and job satisfaction. Specifically, supervisors will discuss why they play the critical role in establishing leadership in their agencies and learn how to identify their values and how to create meaning and cohesion in their work units. Topics include:
- Why does one want to lead
- Why a leader’s work is important
- How to create a good climate to work in
- How leaders build trust
- How leaders inspire others
