Course Description
“Millennials are ruining America!” “Generation X is out of touch!” “Ok, Boomer!”
Throughout history, every generation has believed that subsequent age groups are unworthy of carrying the torch, while the younger generation actively hopes the old folks will just get out of the way. With the technological boom of the early 2000s, never has this generational divide in the workplace been more noticeable than today. This presentation will examine the important role that two critical leadership qualities, empathy and perspective, play in our daily interactions with our colleagues. It will also consider the differences between the generations, why the divide seems so great, and what, if anything, we can do about it.
