Course Description

This class is an overview of Roundabouts and focuses on Safety, Design, and Single/Multi-lane Analysis Issues as well as Pedestrian and Bicyclist Accommodations, Signage and Pavement Markings.  Howard McCulloch and Bill Baranowski have designed roundabouts in the US since 1995.

  • 8:30  - Registration
  • 9:00 - Workshop opening remarks/introductions
  • 9:15 - Safety Statistics
  • 9:45 - Capacity Software
  • 10:15 - Morning Break
  • 10:30 - Signage, Pavement Markings & 2009 MUTCD
  • 11:15 - Pedestrian & Bicyclist Accommodation
  • 12:15 - Lunch (on your own)
  • 1:15 - Single Lane - Prelim. Design & Layout
  • 2:45 - Afternoon Break
  • 3:00 - Multi-Lane Analysis & Design Issues
  • 4:30 - Workshop Wrap-up, Evaluation & Certificates

Notification of cancellation must be received prior to registration deadline. Substitutions may be made at any time. A $25 adminstrative fee may be retained for late cancellations or no-shows. Please notify us of any changes.
