This training program focuses directly on the hazards and situations that roadway construction workers face every day. This package meets OSHA's requirements for 10-hour accreditation. From work zones to night work, this acclaimed training sets the standard for the entire industry. Participants will gain the knkowledge to:
- Recognize reasons and key beneifts of focusing on safety and health issues.
- Employ proactive approaches to construction safety and health efforts to gain a competitive advantage.
- Respond positively to OSHA safety and health regulatory compliance issues
- Recognize the importance of identifying, controlling and elimination common construction hazards.
- Provide basic knowledge for hazard assessment, minimizing losses and controlling safety and health related costs to the employer.
- Aply relevant course resources and information ot their own contractor's safety and health efforts.
- Meet the requirements of OSHA's 10-hour Constrction Safety and Health Outreach Program and receive a completion certificate.
APWA Overview
The APWA Construction Inspection course is designed to provide comprehensive instruction and training
for persons charged with the duties of construction inspection. The course covers the full responsibilities
of the inspector throughout the life of the construction project from start to finish.In addition the course
addresses the critical inspection duties associated with each major construction element. The course has been
modified to address the inspection duties and documentation requirements pertaining to UDOT and Federally
funded construction projects. The course is constructed in one hour modules including review questions and
work exercises.

- To provide an awareness of general principles and procedures associated with construction inspection in a
modular format.
- To explain the responsibilities and liabilities associated with participating in the construction
inspection process.
- To provide students a comprehensive document which they can keep and use for future reference.
