About the Course:

This workshop will review the principal elements and processes of an asset management program, specifically signs and pavement, to facilitate the implementation of the program in the agencies attending. The asset management program presented will follow this general format for asset management

10 Creating an inventory of the asset

20 Conducting a condition survey

30 Analysis of root causes

40 Determining current needs

50 Maintenance and preservation strategies

60 Cost and budget proposals

70 Recommended maintenance

80 Feedback element in order to improve the system.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Street Supervisors, Road Superintendent, Public Works Directors, City or County field personnel, and GIS analysts will all benefit from attending this workshop. Agencies which have utilized the services of the Utah Technology Transfer Center in order to inventory and manage their assets in the past will receive updated information and training with regard to asset management.
