The one-day safety operations classroom training section covers: trenching safety, vehicle safety, vehicle maintenance, daily walk-around inspections, and pre- and post-shift inspection. This is a mandatory pre-requisite for the Techniques of Heavy Equipment Operation (hands-on) course and is good for 3 years.

The cost is $65 per person and includes all materials and lunch. This training is currently being offered on the following dates/locations:

Students must have successfully completed the Safety Operations course in order to register to take the hands-on training. This two-day hands-on training covers: vehicle safety, vehicle maintenance, daily walk-around inspections, pre- and post-shift inspections and equipment operating techniques.
