agency personnel will benefit greatly from attending the upcoming RMAUPG Annual Meeting to
be held at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Denver, Colorado. They will have the chance to learn of
the latest experiences and benefits of the use of Super-Pave asphalt. Eight state highway
departments, contractors and asphalt producers, as well as other local highway agency personnel
will be attending.
Cost to participate in the meeting is $100 and includes continental breakfasts and materials.

October 13-15, 1998*
Pedestrian safety is a concern in many communities and it can't be solved by any one person. A
team effort is necessary for success. To that end, the Utah T² Center is partnering with the
USDOT, UDOT, the Utah Office of Public Safety, Utah Local Government Insurance Trust, Utah
Risk Management Mutual Association and the Utah Association Counties to bring this facilitatory
training and roadshow to Utah.
The training and roadshow are designed for:
state and local agency traffic engineers and planners,
decision and policy makers (i.e. county executives and metropolitan planning personnel);
safety-related personnel (i.e. law enforcement, EMS and local safety coalitions); and
interested individuals (i.e. school representatives, business leaders, developers and others).
Space for the training and roadshow is limited so preregistration before October 7th is required.
The cost for the facilitator training is $60 and the roadshow is $30 per person and includes all
handout materials, and meals.
Call the Utah T² Center at 1-800-822-8878 for more information.
*The roadshow is on October 15, 1998 only.
