No-Cost Webinar- June 26 Understanding the New FHWA Final Rule on Temporary Traffic Control Devices (Subpart K)
Join Us Online for This Informative Session!

On December 5, 2007, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) published a Final Rule on Temporary Traffic Control Devices that addresses the use of, and appropriate payment for, uniformed law enforcement officers, positive protective measures between workers and motorized traffic, and installation and maintenance of temporary traffic control devices during construction, utility, and maintenance operations.

This Rule, which applies to all Federal-aid highway projects, was issued as a supplement to the Work Zone Safety and Mobility Rule, and becomes effective on December 4, 2008.

During this webinar, FHWA Transportation Specialist Chung Eng will provide an overview of the new Rule and how it relates to the Work Zone Safety and Mobility Rule. Eng will also highlight the Rule’s key requirements and its impacts on the transportation community. The webinar will close with a discussion of what will be expected as a result of the new Rule and a brief Q and A session.
